Albino Oliveira-Maia is a physician-scientist, specialised in Psychiatry, with a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Porto and Duke University Medical Centre, Master in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health and MD from the University of Porto. He is director of Neuropsychiatry at the Champalimaud Foundation, and Assistant Professor at NOVA Medical School, in Lisbon. He has published close to 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters, organized 11 events, supervised 7 PhD theses and close to 70 MSc students, and has received more than 20 awards and honors. His research has been funded by national and international grants, including an ongoing grant from the European Research Council. Albino's works is in the area of Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on Neurosciences and Clinical Medicine with emphasis on Psychiatry. In his professional activities he has interacted with more than 350 collaborators that are his co-authors of scientific papers.
