Jacky G. Goetz, PhD

Group Leader @INSERM - National Institute of Health and Medical Research

Strasbourg, France

Trained as cell biologist, his team developed intravital correlative microscopy for tracking metastasis in animal models (Karreman JCS, 2016; Karreman TCB, 2016).

His group (www.goetzlab.fr) focuses on dissecting the biomechanics of metastasis (Goetz Cell 2011, Follain Dev Cell 2018; Osmani Cell Reports, 2019 Follain Osmani SciRep 2021) and showed that fluid mechanics are key regulators of tumor metastasis (Goetz Science 2018; Follain Nature Reviews Cancer, 2020). They also aim at elucidating the establishment of pre-metastatic niches (Hyenne Dev Cell, 2019; Verweij TCB, 2019, Ghoroghi, eLife 2021). He received several awards for his work in cell and cancer biology (SBCF 2012; Ruban Rose 2020, French Academy of Sciences/Del Duca 2020, Peter Wall institute for Advanced Studies 2021).
