Rafael earned his PhD in 2022 at CNIC (Spain), where he identified T-cell-derived molecules for the diagnosis and therapy of acute heart diseases. As a postdoctoral researcher at GIMM, supported by EMBO and EACR–Mark Foundation fellowships, he leads research programs investigating γδ T cells in the solid tumor microenvironment and harnessing their potential for next-generation immunotherapies.
