Sahar Israeli Dangoor


PhD Candidate @Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University


Sahar graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Life and Medical Sciences (B.Sc.) with honors in 2016 at Tel Aviv University. After her graduation, she was accepted to the direct track to Ph.D. for outstanding students, at the laboratory of Prof. Ronit Satchi-Fainaro at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Sahar presented her scientific work in several national and international conferences and won prestigious awards. She authored 7 original manuscripts and reviews in high-impact journals including a book chapter on which she is the lead author. Her Ph.D. research is focused on the crosstalk between breast cancer cells and the brain microenvironment, promoting brain metastasis. Results from her research have a great potential to be exploited as prognostic markers and as a novel therapeutic approach.
